Rational Thinking?

I am just flustered right now and I am just going to type and whatever happens to come out is just going to come out, so please no judging me or rebuking me, just listen because I am a pill and that is just what I need right now. My house it hot and a mess. My best friend will never call me back. The ones I love the most live hours away. I want to run but I am bloated and even though I know in the long run working out will pay off, I am bloated right now which makes me feel like my butt is now bigger than it was 2 months ago. So now I really don't want to work out because my butt is big anyways so what is the use. I want a hot dinner but I don't feel like washing the pots to accomplish that hot dinner. I want to buy a house and set down roots like everyone else but I have been blessed enough to move once every year so far in my marriage and to this day still have no idea where I will be and when. I want to go to the temple with my husband but my anxiety and nervousness give me date gut (extremely painful gas that may be accompanied by sickness of the southern region later that night). Sometimes I just want to be mad Damn it!!! And the thing that irks me the most is knowing how easy it is to solve all of my problems. A little kneeling and some Tums. But when I think about that, I get even more mad. I don't want to get off my butt and pray. I don't want to open my scriptures and receive answers to all of my problems. Maybe I want to be as mad as a I think Job should have been but wasn't, that perfect patient son of a gun. Maybe when I go on these stupid rants of "Oh poor me", by the end of them I am so tired of being selfish anyway that I calm myself down enough to get on my knees and thank Heavenly Father for enough stuff to make my house a mess, for the sun that has finally come out and decided to make my house hot, for a best friend to be mad at, for loved ones that live just a few hours away as opposed to no loved ones at all, for a fat butt to run off and wonderful hot dinners that make it fat, for a wonderful rental that if the Lord decided for us to move tomorrow we totally could because we aren't tied to a mortgage, for the potential to always be moving forward with my husbands job and not be laid off all together, for a majority of old people that live where I live and attend the temple at the same time that I would and that are most likely deaf and can't hear my loud gas anyways, and for a very complicated brain that is able to rationalize after an hour of so much irrationality. Okay I feel better now so maybe I will go pray and do some dishes. Thank you for your time that is all.

Changed my mind...

So since I am lazy and do not feel like collecting a ton of emails I have decided that maybe going private can wait. But to the folks that I love please add me to your blog list because you private ones, I can't get in, and I miss ya. ha ha

Dress up and makeshift babies...

Oh my heavens kids just don't come any cuter than mine. Oak has this new obsession with dressing up in anything that she can fit her head in. Usually it is the sleeve of a shirt from the laundry, or both arms through the legs of pajama pants. She also has to do it her self. Ladies and Gentlemen we have ourselves a DIVA!!! She loves grabbing random things, wrapping them in some form of cloth and cuddling them like a baby. The other day it was a can of Chicken Noodle Soup wrapped in my sewing scraps and in these pictures it was my black picture frame stand wrapped in her pants. She will wad everything up and pat it to her chest and kiss it. She is hilarious!!! And so her mother's child. DIVA DIVA DIVA!!!

Moon...or trying not to moon Oak style...

Oak decided the other night that she wanted to put her jammies all by herself. So she got both legs in one leg and kept trying to pull her pants up. That didn't work so she pulled her pants down. She then attempted again and got it right, almost. She just couldn't get that waist up over her diaper so she walked around until we went to bed with a diaper moon. It was so funny watching her try to get dressed.

First Happy Meal...

So I took Oak to get her first happy meal. She ate most of the fries, and two chicken nuggets all by herself. After that we played with her toy for about an hour. It was so fun and she is so cute!!!

Just do it!!!!

I am just a little bugged right now with the way our country is going. People thinking that money grows on trees. Not taking into consideration that this so called "magic-money" is coming out my pocket to take care of everyone else and their self indulgences. People thinking that they have it made right now. Great benefits and no effort earning them. It's called Integrity people. Being proud of who you are, and your HONEST HARD WORK! Not relying on a "pick-me-up"plan. Grow a pair, get up off you duff, and take care of your own family. Quit making me do it. We need to stand strong. Remember our morals and values, and now more than ever before in history, we need to represent! Be who you and Be proud of it. Don't let anyone or any stupid thing passed affect the way we live, the way we take care of our families, and ultimately how we EARN our salvation. Nothing is given to us. Nothing is easy. It was never meant to be. Sorry I am just a little fired up by recent events. Take care, and KEEP THE FAITH!

Change of plans...

So we had our move date set, a new apartment, incredible land lords, beautiful view, great job, moving van scheduled, and stuff starting to get packed. Funny how life works. You are given something that you have wanted for a while. It almost seems to good to be true. I have come to find that if it seems to good to be true it usually is. Life is not meant to be easy. No hand outs, no yellow brick road, no paved perfect way that we can travel without heartbreak. Heartbreak makes us who we are and challenges us to turn to the ONE who is all knowing. We are not moving to Logan. Some things didn't work out the way they were supposed to. All is okay though. The grass has always has been greener on the other side and I see no reason why it can't be that way now too. The Lord has a plan for us. We are blessed enough to still have a great job, school, place to live. I have even re-decorated our current place just to make it seem new. haha I know that it isn't new but it has helped change the scenery a bit. We are blessed and grateful for it.

Craft Journal

So I was a little inspired by the movie "Julie and Julia". Watch it, so cute. I am not wealthy but I don't want my home to reflect that. I love decor and I decorate every inch of my house. I can't handle stark white walls. In order for me to feel at home, I need to see "me" everywhere. My new home will reflect this. I love hand me downs and I have never bought anything for full price. I LOVE BARGAINS. I love looking at Pottery Barn. com and watching HGTV for inspiration. When I see something cute I try and do it too; just for cheap. And I do. All of my projects are experimental because I honestly don't have the slightest clue how to do anything, so I improvise and do it the way I think it will work. Thank heavens, usually it does. This has made me want to share my ideas with you. I do lots of house decor and I love doing clothes and purses too. I also can't afford the newest and greatest clothes and accessories so I make alot of my stuff out of second hand or hand me downs. To look at it though you wouldn't think so. I definitely have a statement and everything around me reflects that, but I love it. I want to journal all of my experiments and share them with you. In this tough economy every cent counts. "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." I hate doing with out so join me and lets think of ways to not do with out with out spending anything or spending as little as possible. I look forward to more projects and hearing form you guys.

Craft Journal: Bedroom

I have slowly over the last year been pulling elements together for my bed room. I found this super cute bed spread at K-mart for $30. It came with the spread, 2 shams, and a little accent pillow. The soft turquoise blanket goes under the spread,$30 at Wal-Mart. I went to the cloth store and bought 4 yards of cute cloth that I thought would compliment my bed spread. The old cute cloth ladies usually have the measurements for queen, king, twin, etc. I used an old top sheet that I no longer use and cut it to the size of the box spring. I measured the amount of cloth for the dust ruffle by starting at the top of the box spring and going to the floor. I didn't want it to rub on the floor so I did an inch or two above the floor, 15 in. Cut the cloth accordingly and sewed it to my old sheet. Put the old sheet on the box spring and the dust ruffle hangs just perfect off the side. My body pillow did not coordinate with my bed, so I covered it with the remainder of the dust ruffle cloth. No Zipper, just sew up the side, because I still can't do zippers. I made a little accent pillow out of an old living room pillow and 2 more coordinating rectangles of cloth(the stores do sell just little rectangles) and tied a bow with the dust ruffle cloth. I made simple curtains out of the dust ruffle cloth and folded two strips of cloth and sewed them to the top of the strips of the dust ruffle cloth. SO EASY!!! The head board is made out old fence planks from my in laws house. I sanded, painted the flower, sanded again, and in the holes that once held the planks to the fence with a nail, I tied some strong wire together to keep the planks from separating. I plan on hanging this art project behind my bed as a head board. Cost $40 for the cloth. Comment you questions. ENJOY!

Craft Journal: NEW old shelves

My sister in law and mother in law gave me these old shelves that they weren't using anymore. They were a very light wood color that was nice but not quite me. I love the worn rustic look and these didn't have it. I went and bought some dark interior paint, some vintage white interior paint, and some CRACKLE solution. Lowe's will have an instruction pamphlet. Roller paint the dark, dry, sponge brush the crackle solution, dry, and roller paint the white. It immediately starts to crack the paint. When it was dry I sanded the corners for a more weathered look. So easy and they look incredible! Cost of paint and crackle $30, paint supplies $10. New old shelves just for $40. Comment your questions. ENJOY!

Craft Journal: Pillows

Having a baby that is busy has played quite a number on my once cute living room pillows. I had a bunch of extra cloth and decided to cover them with it. I sewed the cloth strips in whatever pattern would give me the most cloth to work with. I washed the old pillows and stuffed them inside of my new pillow covers and sewed (I still can't do a good zipper) up the opened side. Now I have some fun and bright new pillows (That also match my dining room table,) I think they turned out so cute and they totally go with this whole re-vamped thing I have going for my new house. Cost $0(extra cloth)...Priceless! I love using old clothes of mine that I don't wear anymore for scrap cloth also. Comment you questions. ENJOY!

Craft Journal: Calendar Pics. Re-vamped

I wanted new decor for my kitchen and I already had the picture of the big red barn hanging up(hand me down from sister in law, love it) and an adorable 2009 cow calendar that Aaron gave me for an anniversary gift. I figured okay you have the farm stuff already going, and you love it, so go with it. I didn't want to throw the calendar away because it was so cute but it is clearly a new year and I can't use it anymore, so I decided to cut out the pictures that I liked the most and frame them to go with my red barn pic. I bought the $2 dollar frames at Wal-mart, measured my cow pics, put them in the frames, and now I have a cute little collection of perfectly coordinated pictures for my kitchen that I can top off with a red rustic star (already own it) and some cute little homemade curtains(soon to come) and bod-a-bing I have an adorable country kitchen. Cost $8 for pictures. Comment your questions. ENJOY!

Craft Journal: Card Table and Chairs

For my wedding one of the best gifts we were given was a set of chairs and matching card table. Perfect gift for any broke newly married couple. The chairs we a little drab for me after a while and with our new move I wanted to re-vamp my "dining room table set" he he, and make it adorable and a little more "me". I went to the cloth store and picked out 2 different patterns that I loved that coordinated well together. The pads on the top of the chair unscrewed and the pads on the bottom of the chair I was able to hammer out. I kept the original gray color on two of the chairs and used a textured dark brown spray paint on the other two. I cut the yard of cloth in half and stretched it until there were no wrinkles in the fabric and stapled it with a staple gun (my new best friend) to the back of the pieces of the chair that I took off. I did not remove the original padding or cloth because the new cloth covered it well and the old stuff created more padding. I cut the excess cloth and screwed the top of the chair back in and used a spray adhesive (works great) for the seat of the chair.I did nothing to the table except add a table cloth that I made out of my old duvet (Yes I cleaned it first). I measured the table and decided how much overhang I wanted off the sides and added that extra little bit to the measurements I already had. I cut, ironed, covered the table and with some extra strips, I tied the corners of the table in a bow, which also gathered the duvet cloth really cute. I spent $16 dollars on the cloth, $25 on the spray paint and adhesive, and $15 on the staple gun. Quick and easy fix and they look so cute. Comment your questions. ENJOY!

Craft Journal: New Letter Blocks

I love D.I. I find the greatest deals there. If you don't mind a little using a little elbow grease, you can re-make anything. One of my favorite buys from D.I. is picture frames. Most of the picture frames in my home are from D.I., I just repaint and turn them into something that I love. They look like you bought them all rustic and brand new.P.S. they usually cost me 50cents to a dollar.
These were all frames that I was not using. I painted them a vintage white. The letters are prefab letters that I got at Micheal's for maybe a buck fifty a pop. I painted them a wheat yellow and then watered down some brown paint and lightly blotted it with a rag. I sanded the corners and called it good. Sand paper is my best friend. Comment your questions. ENJOY!

Why I am in love...

My heart feels like it is about to jump out of my chest right now and I know that it is because when I think of my husband, even after almost 5 years together, he still gives me butterflies. I ache to see him even when he is just at work for a few hours. He is my best friend. I have never laughed so hard and for so long than I do with him. We can be at home doing nothing together and it is means everything. He compliments me perfectly. Our personalities, my anger, his calm, my craziness, his calm, my fly by the seat of my pants and screw the consequences, his calm, my ahhhhhhh, his calm. He is everything the Lord intended me to have to become the best version of myself. He swears that I am just as much for him as he is for me but I still swear the Lord made him specifically for me because no one else could handle my loud, erratic ways. There is no special occasion, or any true reason that I am writing this except to let the world know how much I love my best friend and how grateful I am for the completeness that he has brought into my life. Everything I love the most has everything to do with him and I would be lost without him.

My sleeping beauties...

I was studying late the other night and went to bed about 2 hours later than my loves...This is what I found when I walked into the room, Oak totally sprawled out over daddy. I just about wet my pants when I saw it(ya know how stuff that isn't really that funny is super funny at 1 in the morning).

Clean up Clean up....

So we were going to bed and Aaron and I look up the stairwell to see it covered in socks. Oaklee had opened the new bags of socks and thrown them all down the stairs. She was even carrying one of the bags like a little purse. She is so funny!

It's official...We are moving!!!

This is the beautiful Logan LDS Temple and from our new place you can see it from the front yard. We have never been so excited about a move before and we cannot wait to experience all of the new things the Lord has in store for us. We are totally in love with our new landlords (Thanks Bryce and Tessa). They are so dang cute and we are going to have a blast. Aaron's friends from baseball live up there too and they are so fun!!! We can't wait for a new chapter of our life to begin and fun friends to stay up late with and play board games ha ha. Oh Aaron will also be in a BASEBALL league again this summer. No matter how hard I try I can't escape that Beautiful sport. ha ha. Life is good and we are so psyched!!!
