Have I said yet that I love sewing!? I think that I have several times. I recently made my mother a quilt for her birthday which I cannot display because I want to somewhat surprise her but I will just tell you it is the cutest dang thing I have ever made (besides this skirt). I made this out of the left over cloth from my mom's quilt. I saw a similar skirt on one of my kids at primary and wanted to replicate it. I think it turned out pretty dang good for something off the top of my head and no pattern. Oak will look so cute on Sunday. I wish I was as cute and little as she is, then maybe I could wear little skirts too.

She is her father's child!

So anyone who knows Aaron really well knows that he is so fascinated by the newest and greatest electronic anything. His new love is his Ipod Nano. He will literally spend 2 hours at a time playing games and making videos of Oak on it and the rest of the day he listens to his music and radio on it. Needless to say "The apple never falls to far from the tree." , because Oak loves the Nano too obviously. She is so dang cute!!!

I love my sewing machine. I love creating things off the top of my head and I love making these fun things for the people I love. I made this out of some old jeans and scrap cloth. This is a purse I just finished for my visiting teaching companion. She rocks and I think this purse does too! Enjoy!

New Year Re-Vamped

This NEw YeAR has me feeling so EnErGIzed and so StROng. 2009 was a really difficult year and I so look forward to a nEw and BeTTeR year. I want to make this my Best year for my Family and myself. Still working out and going strong and I just have to say, I am loving my progress. Aaron is working out too and he is doing great. I started school on Jan. 2 and am now on the fast track to receiving my teaching degree and I can't wait. Aaron is continuing his Engineering degree on the 11th. I am so proud of him. He got straight A's last semester. I love bragging about him(even though I know I am embarrassing). MY HUSBAND ROCKS!!! Oaklee is getting so big and so sASsY! She is her own women and by golly she is on a mission whether for the day that be trashing the living room, dressing up in our laundry, or her new recent favorite, trying to take off all of her clothes by herself. She is a gosh dang hoot! Just to let you all know too, I really do get her dressed and do her hair, just not for these pictures. She is talking up a storm too. If ya want to hear it, come visit us. We are always wanting visitors from the ones we love. All in all we are doing gReAt and ChEErs to a new and wonderful year in 2010!!!

So what's up?

Okay Just a few little updates. Yes it has snowed and alot! I took Oak outside to play in it for the first time and she loved it. She would walk a couple steps and bend down to look at the powdery white stuff then walk a bit more and turn and look at me and grin then fall on her butt. She looked like the Christmas Story kid with her huge coat on that she can't move in. She was so fun and I love her so much. She has also began to talk a little bit. She says "Hi" to everyone and everything. She knows sounds for elephant, bear, dog, cat, rooster, sheep, cow, boat, car, and she is just learning the lips and pucker sound for a fish(at least the sound that mommy thinks they make). She loves books and songs and her baby. She is a total cuddle bug and I don't mind that one bit. She has also started saying "Da Da a you?" ( Daddy where are you?) She dances and claps all the time. For anyone who has seen the movie THE JERK, her and I dance about as well as Steve Martin finding his rythm. Ha Ha but if she wants to dance then by golly I won't hold her back. Aaron's job is going great as is his schooling. He got straight A's this semester and he is greatly anticipating the rest of school to be over(actually we all are but what can ya do) I should be starting classes in January. I just have one more interview to get through then I am set. We are still running and training for Ragnar, just slowly. Between being sick, having work and school, a baby and traveling we try and sneak in to the gym 3-4 times a week if we are lucky. I wish I could go more but we will work on it. All of my clothes are to big and my so-called skinny jeans are now loose jeans which is kinda cool but I really love my clothes and now they don't fit as well as they did. Oh well shopping here I come. ha ha So that is what is up with us just so you all know we didn't drop off the planet. Some pics hopefully soon to come.
