Summer Part 1(picture overload)

Summer so far in a nutshell. Brady reunion, Gpas 90, blessing dress and accessories, Hogle zoo, 24th celebrations, home cooked goodness, bridesmaid and wedding decor, Utah fairs, warm roadside veges, lots of traveling, lots of visitors. Good ole family time! I think I got it all. I have no idea what order the pics will post in but enjoy.

Wednesday

Got the house cleaned today. Oak and Mais are walking all over the house holding hands and playing together. They are precious! Can't wait for Aar to get home so I have someone to run with. Starting to make a blessing dress for a sweet little baby that my beautiful friend p is carrying. Going to the Gateway tomorrow to see my sister/friend try on a wedding dress. This weekend is the Brady Family reunion and grandpa's 90 birthday celebration. Talking in church on Sunday and mom and step-dad are coming to listen. Fabulous week and beautiful day!

Life

The world is hot. My babies are growing and life is peachy. It breaks my heart a little bit to see my girls getting soooooooo big but I know that this is the natural cycle of life. Babies in the house, wrinkles, babies grow, wrinkles, babies gone, more wrinkles. Oh man do I love my precious little girls and I am starting to feel another little one knocking on the uterus, so I guess it is coming about that time. I am still on my depression medication and the pre and post birth blues are still very real but there has not been enough testing on pregnancy and depression meds to justify uncertainty. So right now I am winging myself off and it has been wonderful. I am strong and the thought of another little Aaron running around this big world makes me feel stronger. I love my family. Oak is learning number and letter recognition and also how to write numbers and letters. She can draw shapes, color in the lines, and read books from memory. She is so smart. Mais is learning more and more everyday of how to be a pain in her sisters butt. Holy cow she is a pistol but so cute. Aaron is working hard and doing great. He finished his schooling not long ago so we are looking hard for jobs and trying to make our way down south a bit. We are excited for a new adventure but all in due time. Precious...

Laying here in bed alone because Aaron fell asleep with Maisy on the couch. I can hear him breathe and shift position to get more comfortable because a fatty like Maisy takes up a lot of space. Oaklee loves it when I tickle her tongue with her toothbrush while brushing her teeth. She thinks it is all in fun but little does she know, I do that to get rid of her sometimes stinky breath. The window is open and the mountain air is cool and crisp. My favorite kind of atmosphere to sleep in because I pull the covers all the way up to my chin and stick one foot out of the blanket. Perfect amount of warmth and chill all at the same time. My mind is at ease but my heart sings listening to my Aaron breath, knowing he is cuddling my chubby baby, Oee has clean teeth and fresh breath and her giggle is heaven, and I am wrapped safe and warm in this haven that my best friend and I have created. My beautiful life and the precious things that fill it.

Relay for life...

Aaron and I are participating in the Relay For Life of St. George this year. It is a 24 hr relay that supports the American Cancer Society. All donations made will go to this fantastic cause. Aaron and I have made a personal goal of raising $100 each. Please help us make or even exceed this goal by going to Relayforlife.com, click on get involved and donate to a participant. Service Idea

Okay so I had this idea a while ago but didn't think much of it until I was watching tv this morning. I thought to myself "Self, there is probably so much more you could be doing than wasting your time watching tv." Then I remembered this idea I had had a while ago. What is something that is so badly needed with a new baby? Receiving blankets. I have learned that a fantastic receiving blanket is measured a yard in length and most cloth is typically measured 48 inches in width and my favorite blankets were always made of flannel. These blankets are crazy easy to make and I am truly not just saying this because I love to sew but because it really is incredibly easy. Cloth goes face to face, sew up three sides, flip face out and then sew up the fourth side. Easy, I know. So what if I could complete a project of making these sweet blankets for a baby who really needs it. Primary Childrens Hospital has a list of things that can be donated to their facility for families in need. If I could die saying that I helped make a difference in one person's life, I would consider my life a success. So enough talk, I would like to make several or more of these receiving blankets and donate them to this wonderful hospital. I also would love to enlist the help of the beautiful women in my life, whether you know how to sew or not. Something this simple is a great way to learn the basics of sewing while also easing a family in need. I have to call the hospital and inform them of my idea and then go around to local cloth stores and ask for their help. Typically with a donation a business will ask for a letter of proof that the things being donated will indeed be donated. So now here we go, receiving blankets made by women for the little patients of the hospital. I am dead serious about seeing this come about and if you want to help let me know.
